The fairly fresh-faced Kratom Krates brand entered the scene just a few years back. But despite their relative newness, it seems they’ve captured the interest of hungry kratom buyers looking for something novel to spice things up.
Generally, buyers seem to have received Kratom Krates with (cautiously) open arms. However, a closer look at reviews reveals a catch-and-release relationship with most customers. That is, while product quality might reel them in, consistency might also force them to look for greener kratom pastures down the line.
Step over to the Kratom Krates official e-commerce store and you’ll be greeted with a less-than-polished layout. At a glance, you might think an amateur worked on the design. Aside from its odd color combinations, the website also doesn’t feel too easy to navigate and browse.
According to information posted on site, the owners of the Kratom Krates brand started their venture to offer people a place to purchase bulk powders at reasonable prices. That said, all of their kratom powders are available in weights of up to 10kg — a relative rarity when you consider the fact that most vendor stop at 1kg.
Their capsules come in counts from 60 caps to 960 caps, while their extract powders max out at weights of just 50g. They also sell wholesale resale-ready bundles that buyers can purchase to start their own little kratom business.
On their website, their products average a rating between four and five stars. You’ll notice however that their review widget allows any website visitor to leave a review. The issue here is that their system won’t try to verify whether the feedback comes from someone who actually made a purchase.
Fortunately, there are various other places online to find reviews for Kratom Krates. Reddit has loads of forums that talk about the vendor. Consumers who post on Reddit threads have mixed reviews about Kratom Krates. While some express a positive experience, others find that the products lack both potency and quality.
Altogether, it seems that Kratom Krates’ consistency turns out to be the real problem. Although some of their batches are definitely worth the try, others might be bunk. The problem with that is that you can never tell which batch will be good and which will turn out to be a disappointment.
Kratom Krates’ prices definitely aren’t the lowest you’ll find, even for a bulk kratom vendor. However, that doesn’t mean that they don’t fall within reasonable pricing limits. In fact, they’re close to the lower price limit, which is definitely a plus.
All things considered, Kratom Krates competes closely with other vendors that also offer bulk bags of similar weights. Here’s a look at Kratom Krates’ prices versus similar bulk kratom brands:
Crunching the numbers, Kratom Krates’ powders sell for between 0.4¢ and 0.06¢ per gram. For a little perspective, other vendors sell retail kratom at an average price of about 0.2¢. So Kratom Krates’ smaller retail packs might be a little more expensive than the usual price.
But even then, their kilograms move into ultra-low-cost territory. Comparing them to other bulk vendors that offer the same weights, Kratom Krates actually offers some of the cheapest bulk kratom you’ll find. Keep in mind however that there are other vendors who still manage to go lower.
Aside from their powders and capsules, Kratom Krates also sells Diamond kratom extracts in red, green, and white color veins. Buyers interested in giving these allegedly stronger kratom products a try can expect to pay the following prices:
Another pick on the Kratom Krates line-up is their Ultra Enhanced line of kratom powders that are also sold in bulk. Their UE Kratom sells for $45 for 50g, up to $575 for 1kg, which are comparatively low versus other UE products on the market.
Kratom Krates also offers wholesale bundles to buyers who might want to use their product to start a small business. These packages sell for between $70 and $1,260 depending on the inclusions that you choose.
If you’re not sure which strains will work best for you, the vendor offers sample packs that sell for $24.99 for three 20g packets of powder. They also sell the same bundle style for UE kratom ($30) and capsules ($39.99)
Positive reviews for Kratom Krates aren’t too hard to find. Their website is brimming with kind words and praises from a seemingly solid consumer base. Other buyers have also taken to forums like Reddit to express their satisfaction with the brand’s products and services.
“I have used Kratom Krates for about 4 years now and I have not once had a problem with anyone I that I have talked with. They are professional, honest, and real just like the rest of us. Prices are the best especially the quality that I have found. I don’t normally write reviews but I had to because they have earned my trust.” – Kratom Krates website
“Excellent service, with lightning fast shipping. I tried another company, and was disappointed. Will stick with Kratom Krates.” – Kratom Krates website
“I’ve ordered from KK 4 or 5 times now and I’ve never been disappointed, I have a buddy who orders their capsules and he says the thing. I was ordering all over the place from different vendors and its hit and miss but I think I’m going to stay with KK for bit since I like their speed and quality. 10/10 would recommend.” – Reddit user
“We found Kratom Krates online and have been ordering from the ever since they do a 4 way split kilo for 100, and its high quality kratom. Just figured I’d let you know in case you’re overspending.” – Reddit user
“What I like about Krates they have slightly better deals and prices on splits than other comparable dealers, and the quality is fair for wholesale leaf. The Red Bali is really good I haven’t had anything terrible there.” – Reddit user
While the response for their products and services remains widely positive on their website, other places on the web like Reddit cast a shadow on Kratom Krates’ quality and potency. Weighing all the feedback the brand has received, you’ll find that their consumer base is perfectly split between satisfied and disappointed.
“Kratom Krates had some good batches but is few and far between. Most of the time it is bunk, and good luck finding up to date lab tests!” – Reddit user
“I used them a while back. Their product was really good last summer (2020) I really liked it for about 6 months then things went south. Last time I tried it back in March it was terrible. Red gave me the wobbles and nothing else worked.” – Reddit user
“Kratom Krates sucks, tried them when I first started but I did feel something but nothing compared to what I have now. I can’t believe that Kratom Krates is an aka affiliated vendor. What a shame.” – Reddit user
“I used them for a year or so. Just using them my tolerance skyrocketed. Went from 5g to 15g per dose in a year. Every batch was the same bulk crap. Switching to small batch vendors have gotten my dose down to 4grams. […] I was happy I found other vendors.” – Reddit user
“I heard the same thing from someone else. Said they used to be good back in the day now they just sell bunk.” – Reddit user

Kratom Krates used to provide lab test reports through their website, but has since stopped publishing said reports. They also don’t make mention of lab testing on their website as of writing.
That said, it’s not entirely clear whether their products pass through testing either for contamination or for mitragynine content. And since there are reviews outlining the brand’s previous dedication to lab testing, we can’t draw any conclusions as to whether they presently test their products or not.
The American Kratom Association stands as the regulatory body that aims to keep vendors in check. Through their Good Manufacturing Practices certificate, the consumer-led initiative works to audit vendors and guarantee that they’re handling and processing their kratom products in safe, sanitary facilities using ethical techniques.
The Kratom Krates brand is a proud member of the AKA, and they have been GMP-certified. That means all of their products go through processes and facilities that have been deemed safe and sanitary by the AKA.
Even with all the negative publicity that the vendor receives, there hasn’t been a single report of adverse reactions, contamination, or risky effects that resulted from the use of their products.
They also haven’t been involved in any legal cases or recalls initiated by the FDA. All that considered, it’s safe to say that Kratom Krates is a legitimate kratom vendor.
If budget friendly bulk bags at up to 10kg each was your goal, then Kratom Krates might be for you. These guys sell some of the most affordable bulk kratom products you’ll find, which is definitely part of the reason for their success and popularity.
Based on reviews however, their product quality and potency might be a hit or miss. And since they don’t provide lab reports on their website, it’s tough to determine which batches will meet expectations, and which ones will turn out to be bunk.
