Red Thai

Red Thai kratom icon

Thai kratom strains are supposedly longer-lasting and more energizing than others, and Red Thai is no exception.

User reports generally describe Red Thai kratom as moderately euphoric and sedating. It may increase one’s mood while promoting relaxation and reducing pain. For some users, the strain is effective at reducing anxiety and depression. Others have reported that Red Thai is somewhat stimulating, which is odd for a red kratom strain.

Red Thai’s duration of effects seems to be somewhat above average. It doesn’t appear to be more or less nauseating than other strains.

Due to the subjective nature of kratom and personal variations in body and brain chemistry, your experiences with this strain might differ from the average user.

🤓 FUN FACT:

Red Thai is likely named after the country of Thailand, but growing kratom has been illegal in Thailand since 1943.

Just received my order of rvt from SPL. After trying it a few times I have decided its much more stimulating than relaxing. I feel more motivation to get stuff done and more talkative as well. However, I don't get any warm blanket feel and it doesn't do much for my anxiety, in fact it might increase it some. I would liken it to a low dose of adderall mixed with caffeine. I like the motivating effects but anxiety is an issue for me and its partly why I take kratom, to relieve it. I'm going to try mixing this with another strain to perhaps smooth it out more

So, I posted this before, but I also ordered the Red Vein Thai from Sacred Plant Life. I think I did too high a dose the first few times (7 grams boiled 15 minutes in hot water and consumed sediment and all.) It was too speedy for me, so tonight I made a cup with 4 grams and filtered out the sediment. I feel awesome. Waves of euphoria, anxiety decreased. Glad to know that I will be able to use the whole half kilo and enjoy it!

Red vein thai is definitely the most stimulating Red vein for me.
It also helps me the most with my anxiety. But everyone has different body chemistry, so results will be different.
If you want something super relaxing, i would try red indo or red sumatra.

I bought some of the crushed leaf. Good for before bed, decent pain relief, makes me tired and sleepy.

Pain Management: In my top ten strains for bad pain days. I have a special box of my favorite strains (It’s pretty full, 20+) and it’s in there. Sometimes I mix it with Mmm Speciosa’s Plantation MD, and that makes it burn a bit brighter. I wouldn’t, however, take this in the morning unless it had a great white mixed with it. I’m shopping for some great whites for mixing, so if you know of one, let me know!
    Duration: longish, 4+ hours
Relaxation: Pretty relaxed, doesn’t make me super sleepy or I wouldn’t take it by itself, but it’s also not one I’d take before I went to the gym either.

I T&W about half a tsp on an empty stomach to see what that would get me and I immediately felt a warm body and mind relaxation. I didn't feel like I had popped any pills, so it felt nothing like an opiate/opioid in my opinion. After a few minutes I start feeling sleepy, tired, and a tad sluggish, but nothing unmanageable. It's been nearly three hours since I first took it and there's no sign of nausea yet (thank God). I'm not too sure if I will continue taking kratom, as the lethargic feeling is not what I'm looking for. Feel free to chime in on my experience and give advice on how to improve it. Also, does anybody know if I can take tylenol pms later tonight without any crazy interactions? Thanks.

So I've tried Red Vein Sumatra, Classic Red Bali, and Ultra Enhanced Indo. Just now I tried a new one- Red Vein Thai... and its AMAZING!! Prob my favorite one so far. All the relaxation, pain relief, and euphoria with NONE of the fuzzy head and nausea that I was experiencing with all the others. This stuff is incredible! I dosed with about 3 grams from Herbal Salvation. Highly recommend

This strain could easily become my new favorite. It's physically sedating but mentally uplifting. It's really mellow. This is the best strain I've tried for anxiety and depression.

Took 1.25gs this afternoon, probably around 2-3 because the white strain I took around noon wasn't taking care of my pain (which I knew it probably wouldn't-different vendor).
The 1.2gs took away my headache and sore neck muscles from being on my laptop and looking down for several hours. Great all around pain relief and energy.
Took 4gs at 4:30pm on empty stomach. Excellent!! Potent strain for sure. First time taking a Red Thai.
The website states * Potent * Long Lasting and * Euphoric
It is everything listed and more. Took maybe 30 minutes and came on strong, my whole body is warm and relaxed, tingling feeling in my legs and face feels flushed. Earlier, I had trouble spelling, wanted to reverse letters- I am so relaxed I think it relaxed my brain also. But in a very, very nice way 🙂
It is now 1 2/2 hours later, ate supper 15-20 minutes ago and have not had any diminished effects. Still floating on a happy cloud. I love this strain.
    Pain relief 9/10
    Energy (low dose) 8/10
Euphoria (low dose and larger dose) 9/10
    Warm, relaxed Happy cloud 9/10

Overall its a quality strain and a more energetic red for me. I know it's on point because it got me looking at the mirror thinking "dam I look good" when usually I would be way more self-loathing. So the mood lift is definitely there.
In terms of sedation, yea it's got some legs on it. A good bodily warmth. I feel that it's on the more energetic side than sedative side, but it might be different for you.
Alan from Canopy was great, he even threw in an extra sample of Green Hulu which I'm going to enjoy. In sum, definitely recommend if you're questioning it. It's entering my rotation, although I feel that it's more of a midday strain for me.
Oh the one thing I don't like about it is its taste. I have never tasted a strain so bold lol. It's like a strong eastern medicine but worse tasting for me.
