Red Malay

Red malay kratom icon

Most users describe Red Malay kratom as strongly euphoric and moderately sedating. At moderate to high doses (2.5-5g+), it may elevate one’s mood and promote relaxation. Some users have reported that the strain is somewhat pain relieving. However, Red Malay’s pain-relieving potential might be lower than other red kratom strains. In general, the strain’s relaxing nature seems to make it ideal for evening use.

With an above-average duration, you should have plenty of time to enjoy Red Malay’s effects. Just don’t expect the strain to be very stimulating.

We don’t have any evidence suggesting that Red Malay is more or less nauseating than other strains.

Due to the subjective nature of kratom and personal variations in body and brain chemistry, your experiences with this strain might differ from the average user.

🤓 FUN FACT

Although Red Malay is likely named after the country of Malaysia, the Malaysian government has prohibited kratom use since 1952.

My point is, this Red Malay is exquisite. Sedating, fuzzy, wrapped in a warm blanket goodness. 4 gram burn had me smiling nicely. I liked it so much, I had a friend come and try it. I didn't want to make him go through the aroma therapy by himself. That would be rude. So I burned another 4 grams. Just a great relaxing evening. There was a bit of an ebb and flow. I would think,"Huh, I don't feel anything anymore." Followed 30 seconds later with,"Theeeerrrrreee it is." A lot more flow than ebb. If that makes any sense.

I just wanna say wow! What an amazing burn/aroma! Also seemed to have the legs of a normal green malay. Lasted for hours! I have to say i didn't think it was going to be this good. Especially because it wasn't a super fine grind. Although supposedly it's finer than the last batch.
Really sedating and euphoric i loved it. For anybody that's wondering about ordering it, you'll have no regrets. I can't believe i'm saying this but herbaldoms red horn is the best strain I've ever tried. This red malay comes pretty close, not quite on par but it's a tight race!

I took 8 grams of SoCal's Premium Red Malay. It is very good. My pain is almost all gone. I also have pretty good mood boost. It is fairly sedating but I am still awake.

To be honest it kind-of feels like a green... mid to fair pain relief, and decent energy...It's hard to tell on the mood lift...but not as sedating as say a red borneo...then again very few strains are sedating to me, most everything keeps me up at night

Slowly but surely, it crept up and soon it was in full effect. My lingering back pain disappeared and I felt extremely happy, social and my legs felt like they were being massaged.

I started burning this before I had a lot of reds. I think in a comment I mentioned it was good but maybe reds weren't for me. Well after a few more burns (and comparisons against other reds) this turned me into a believer. It is a really great low spectrum red. It takes roughly 45-60 min for any aroma to set in, but once it does it just hugs you in a happy, heavy warmth. I can see how in higher doses it would be sedating, but it was enough to let me settle in very comfortably and enjoy my evening. I am very cheap right now due to a myriad of hospital bills from a complicated birth for my son, but this is worth the few extra bucks to have around for those nice occasions, and I reordered. Definitely one I will keep around.

I tried Red Malay on Friday evening @ 5.5g. Started with 4g to make sure it wasn't a sneaky potent strain (it isn't) and added 1.5g an hour later. Red Malay is a very good relaxing/pain relieving red strain. Didn't mess with my sleep (any kratom is capable of keeping me up at night) and did a great job with my sciatic flare. I was able to walk around normal and not limp like a beat up old man. LOL. Mood lift was there but not pronounced but relaxation/pain relief was rock solid. It's pretty much what a good red strain should be and not a sneaky energetic red strain like some of the RMDs/RHKs out there.

    8. NotInHighSchool
I took my usual amount of 3.5 grams, and waited for the onset. 30-45 minutes later I felt something, but that feeling never became anything more than mild sedation. Don't get me wrong, the kratom did its job of relaxing me with little to no stimulation, but if you're looking for a red to knock you back in the couch with euphoria this is not the one. I plan on taking larger amount sometime soon once it comes around again in my rotation, but until then I would have to give the strain a 5.5/10

Yes! It's my favorite. So energizing with good body feeling too

produces a more sedated euphoria and and that warm comforting vibe. Again, 5 grams via toss-n-wash and I was golden. This strain seems to possess decent pain relief qualities, and had very long legs. Burned it at around 4pm and am still decent as I write this at 12:49 a.m.
