This is the Kratomaton Biweekly update for May 2nd, 2018!
Things are starting to heat up – not only outside, but also within the world of kratom!
This week, we’ve got the lowdown on a disturbing trend of YouTube censorship, several deals and discounts, as well as a brand-new page for you to check out here on Kratomaton that we think you’ll really dig.
It’s hot out there – so let’s get to it!
Three YouTubers with nootropic-related video channels have recently had their channels deleted due to YouTube’s continued policing of their content.
Users Steve Cronin, Ryan Michael Ballow, and Jonathan Roseland were shocked to find that their respective nootropic-themed channels had been shut down – although in all cases, the conditions of the shutdown were non-specific.
In the case of Jonathan Roseland’s channel, Limitless Mindset, Roseland theorized that his account closure was due to videos he had previously posted about kratom. Roseland’s theory runs parallel to the recent trend of kratom-related video takedowns on YouTube, which has lead other big-name YouTubers like PsychedSubstance to delist and delete dozens of their videos in a frantic attempt to evade YouTube content policing.
YouTube has stated that their platform “doesn’t allow content that encourages or promotes violent or dangerous acts that have an inherent risk of serious harm or death,” and that “it’s not okay to post videos showing drug abuse.” It’s unclear where YouTube draws the line between substances, but as the internet video provider’s recent actions demonstrate, their content guidelines appear to be tightening.
Chris Bell recently clarified via a tweet that his kratom documentary, A Leaf Of Faith, will be available to watch on the 29th of this month.
The film was announced over a year ago and has been eagerly anticipated by many, as it seeks to address many of the stigmas and highlight the real-world benefits of kratom.
In his tweet, Bell also specified that the film would be initially available on iTunes, Google Play, and “on demand.”
The documentary will be out on iTunes, Google Play, and on demand on May 29th. Netflix or Amazon will come later. https://t.co/qcgEfyvAhC
