Welcome to the Kratomaton Biweekly update for September 29th, 2018!
This week, a controversial piece of American legislation is back on the table, we’ve got some exciting new site updates, and of course – the latest and greatest kratom discounts!
? KRATOM IN THE NEWS
SITSA Back On The Radar Of Concerned Kratom AdvocatesIn June, the United States “SITSA” Act (Stop the Importation and Trafficking of Synthetic Analogues) had many American kratom advocates concerned over the ensuing possibility of a kratom “ban.” An intervention largely spearheaded by the American Kratom Association attempted to introduce an amendment that granted kratom immunity from SITSA, but this amendment was ultimately rejected. Now, according to the AKA, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte is preventing the SUPPORT Act (H.R.6) from passing final judgment until SITSA is included. If included, SITSA would allow substances deemed “opioid-like” by federal legislatures to be regulated with extreme expediency. Given that the United States FDA has classified kratom as an opioid in the past, the SITSA Act has caused distress within American kratom communities, sparking fears of illegalization. The AKA is encouraging concerned American kratom advocates to contact their respective senators regarding SITSA’s inclusion.

⚙️ SITE UPDATES
Vendor Inventory OverhaulAfter months of work, we’re excited to announce that we’re introducing a new inventory system to strain pages on Kratomaton. These changes will allow our users to not only read about specific strains but also browse through lists of the online vendors that carry them. So far, only a small selection of strain pages have been updated to include the Inventory feature, but we’ll be rolling this feature out to all strain pages in the coming weeks. The update also includes some cosmetic and formatting changes to strain pages. You can see what it looks like here. We hope you’ll enjoy the changes!
