On June 6th, Nevada passed their version of the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. The bill, which was originally drafted by the American Kratom Association (AKA) and the Botanical Education Alliance, promotes safer access to kratom products in Nevada by regulating how the plant can be sold and purchased.
Although the exact stipulations of the KCPA vary from state to state, Nevada’s version of the bill enforces the following:
Nevada’s KCPA also enacts fines of up to $1000 for each violation of these terms.
Nevada is the fourth state to enact a version of the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. Earlier this year, Arizona, Georgia, and Utah also passed similar legislation.
