This is the Kratomaton Biweekly update for May 24th, 2018!
Welcome back! We’ve got a few solid nuggets of kratom news for you – some concerning, some inspiring (depending on who you ask). Don’t miss out on your opportunity to score some sweet kratom discounts, either – these things and more are all included in this week’s Kratomaton Biweekly Update!
We briefly mentioned that a Washington DC kratom rally was in the works in a prior biweekly update. Since then, more details have emerged, including a dedicated website which you can visit here.
The upcoming rally will feature sign-making, classes, as well as various speakers. In addition, Chris Bell will be premiering his kratom documentary, A Leaf Of Faith, at the event.
If you’re interested in attending, you can register for the rally here.
This past week, at least three well-known American-based kratom vendors have received warning letters from the United States Food And Drug Administration.
The letters state that these vendors are selling kratom as a “misbranded drug” under section 502 of the FD&C Act, 21 U.S.C. 352, citing descriptions across these vendor sites that promote kratom as “… among other things, the treatment or cure of opioid addiction and withdrawal symptoms.”
At this time, it’s unclear how the involved vendors will respond or proceed regarding the warnings.
