As one of Portland, Oregon’s premier kratom vendors, Left Coast Kratom has been selling high-quality kratom products since 2017. Customers regularly flock to their site to purchase all kinds of kratom powders, extracts, and capsules.
But while buying kratom from Left Coast Kratom only takes a few clicks, deciding what to buy isn’t always so easy. As of this writing, Left Coast Kratom sells over a dozen kratom variants, or “strains.” And because each strain can offer different effects, you’ll likely prefer certain strains over others.
To help you decide, we took a look at four of Left Coast Kratom’s most popular and best-selling strains. Read on to discover what other users have said about them and what you might be able to expect from each!
Super Green Malay
Green Malay is often considered a “mainstay” of the kratom world, and for good reason. Seemingly euphoric and moderately stimulating, Green Malay can provide a burst of feel-good energy that isn’t overpowering. As a result, many kratom users use the strain as a morning or mid-day “pick-me-up.”
Fortunately, Left Coast Kratom’s Green Malay seems to embody everything that makes the strain so popular. On their site, Left Coast Kratom describes it as a “great balance between a red and white vein leaf.” They also claim that their version contains 1.9% mitragynine — a potent concentration of the alkaloid primarily responsible for the plant’s effects.
Other Left Coast Kratom customers stand behind the strain’s quality. One reviewer wrote that “Super Green Malay is the perfect balance of alertness, calming with no jitters or ill effects.” Another wrote, “This is a great strain for the daytime with similar effects to your traditional green maeng da … very strong.”
If you’re after energy above all else, consider Left Coast Kratom’s White Maeng Da Thai.
Where Green Malay seems balanced, White Maeng Da appears strongly stimulating in comparison. White Maeng Da also seems to boast an above-average duration, with effects lasting up to four hours at moderate-to-high doses (2.5-5g).
But while White Maeng Da may be potent, it doesn’t seem versatile. As a white strain, it probably won’t provide the relaxation or pain relief of other strains. And because its stimulating nature could cause insomnia or restlessness, it’s likely best suited for daytime use.
For users desiring pain relief and relaxation, there’s Left Coast Kratom’s Red Borneo.
Most users describe Red Borneo as highly pain-relieving and sedating. They’ve also praised the strain’s duration, which could clock in at about four hours and might be considerably longer than other strains.
Left Coast Kratom’s Red Borneo seems to match this description. On their site, the vendor describes it as a high alkaloid strain sourced from mature trees. For one reviewer on LeftCoastKratom.com, Red Borneo was a “Very solid strain. Not too potent.”
But as you might expect, Red Borneo doesn’t excel in every category. Due to its seemingly sedating nature, it probably won’t provide any energy increase. And those that do take Red Borneo during the day might experience fatigue and drowsiness, making the strain potentially best-suited for end-of-day use.
So far, most of the strains we’ve examined seem either relaxing or stimulating. But if you’re looking for the best of both worlds, consider Left Coast Kratom’s OG Green Bali.
According to users, Green Bali is both relaxing and stimulating, which sets it apart. The strain might also offer some pain relief, but possibly less than strains like Red Borneo.
Left Coast describes their Green Bali as “… a great balance between a red and white vein leaf.” They also claim that their Green Bali contains 1.7% mitragynine, a kratom alkaloid largely responsible for the plant’s effects.
The consensus among Left Coast customers is also favourable. At Left-Coast-Kratom.com, One wrote, “I like the OG Bali blend, because it’s energizing but calming — a perfect green blend.” Another said “Good stuff, had me in a positive mood. Not sedative.”
Left Coast Kratom offers a broad assortment of kratom strains. But because each strain’s effects can vary, it’s worth consulting your preferences before placing an order.
For instance, if you’re looking for pain relief, a strain like Red Borneo might be best. But if you’re looking to replace your mid-day cup of coffee, a seemingly energizing strain like White Maeng Da could be preferable.
Whatever your preferences might be, we hope this post has helped you find what you’re looking for. If you enjoyed it, check out our blog for more kratom guides like this one!
Note that, due to the subjective nature of kratom and personal variations in body and brain chemistry, your experiences with these strains might differ from the average user.
